Program: This course covers the fundamentals of mechanical and thermal/thermo- mechanical testing of polymers. Lectures(4hrs) are accompanied by laboratory experiences (8hrs)

1. Short-time mechanical testing of polymers: quasi-static tests; impact tests

2. Long-time mechanical testing of polymers: creep tests; stress- relaxation tests; fatigue tests

3. Thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis of polymers: Differential Scanning Calorimetry; Thermogravimetric Analysis; Dynamic- Mechanical Thermal Analysis
