Mariella Leporini is Innovation & Technology Manager in the Corporate Chief Technology Innovation Office of Saipem SpA, managing topics related to Field Development for Offshore & Subsea. In 2010, she graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering at Università Politecnica delle Marche; in 2014, Mariella holds a PhD in Energy Sciences from the same University and in 2018 a Post-Doc at Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with University of Brescia. She committed many years to applied Research and Development, starting out with her PhD thesis developed in collaboration with Saipem SpA, then coordinating various R&D collaborations between universities and different Oil & Gas companies and finally leading R&D projects on CO2 and H2 transportation via pipelines in Saipem SpA as Senior Flow Assurance Engineer. Then she coordinated the Open Innovation of the Asset Based Services business line of Saipem. She is co-author of 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and 12 conference proceedings. She serves SPE Italian Section as Discipline Leader in R&D & Innovation in the Board of Directors.
